THE STORY

The story AND the choice.

Do you have a story in your head? A story about how things are supposed to be? I know I do. That’s the story that drives the actions we take.

There are times we go to absurd lengths to ensure the story comes true.

Too often though, the story is based on lowered expectations, the seduction of compliance, and the avoidance of failure.

“Here we go again” is an easy way to lull yourself into victimhood, a place where work is no longer up to you.

If you want to change your story, change your actions first. When we choose to act a certain way, our mind can’t help but rework our narrative to make those actions become coherent.

We become what we do.
